I am an author, drama writer and book editor based in Bristol UK.
For the last 18 years, I have been teaching drama as a Director of Performing Arts and as a Head of Department in a number of schools here in the UK. Prior to that, I was an actor working in film, TV, and theatre across the country. I trained as an actor at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in London, completed my Drama Degree at Trinity University Leeds and as a teacher at the University of the West of England.
I published my first novel ‘The Cry of The Loon’ in 2011 and am now working on a second entitled ‘Embers’. With the plan for a third in an embryonic stage to be called ‘Looking for Neil’. Apart from fiction, I have also written 7 plays for teenagers and a monologue for a single actor.
Music is a passion of mine and I play guitar, write songs as well as poetry.
Travel and exploring new places is really important to me and I have discovered some amazing places in a large number of European countries as well as 42 of the US states and parts of Canada. I love camping in the National Forests and backpacking, canoeing, mountain biking. It is on these trips that I find the inspiration for my writing.
At home, I share my life with the two most wonderful people in the world; Sarah and my amazing son Alexander.
Congratulations!
